After writing the Pop Albums 'No Thrills' and 'The Gleaners' under the name 'Amateur Best' I (Joe Flory) wanted to do something different. The Blue Diamond is an album where I allowed myself to enjoy just the 'music' part of writing, deliberately limiting myself to a sampler, a drum machine and a synth. I collected these beats and moments and ideas for the best part of 3 years before putting them all together to form this unique and beautiful diamond.

There is only one physical copy of the album in the world, on cassette tape - one unique blue diamond. I will send this cassette along with the framed original album artwork to the first person who collects the entire album.
